St. Andrews College downs Ridley College, 2-1

Calvin Walker had one point to lead the St. Andrews College Saints to a 2-1 victory over the Ridley College Tigers.

St. Andrews College put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Ridley College to score on any of its three power plays. The Saints could not produce up to their normal offensive output. St. Andrews College puts an average of 4.6 pucks into the net per game. The Tigers were unable to stop the Saints from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Andrews College eventually piled up 38 shots on goal. The Saints' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Matthew Thom also scored for St. Andrews College. More assists for St. Andrews College came via Alex MacDonald and Mac Lewis, who contributed one each.

Ridley College was held below its usual level of production. The Tigers average 3.2 goals per game.

Ridley College was led by Christian Girhiny, who scored the team's only goal. Girhiny scored 6:01 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Brendan Lochead picked up the assist.

St. Andrews College's Matthew Galajda stopped 22 shots out of the 23 that he faced. The Saints incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors and had no power play opportunities. Evan DeBrouwer rejected 36 shots on goal for the Tigers. Ridley College incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Tigers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Brien Jake was ejected from the game.
