Martan lifts St. Andrews College over Ridley College, 3-1

Mitchell Martan was all over the ice for the St. Andrews College Saints, as he tallied two goals in St. Andrews College's 3-1 win over the Ridley College Tigers.

Martan scored at 9:03 into the third period to make the score 2-1 St. Andrews College and again while 15:31 into the third to make the score 3-1 St. Andrews College.

The Saints were led by goalie Matthew Galajda, who finished with 28 saves while allowing one goal. Galajda certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.17 entering the contest.

St. Andrews College put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Ridley College to score on any of its three power plays. The Saints kept the Tigers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Evan DeBrouwer made 54 saves on 57 shots.

St. Andrews College also got a goal from Quentin Campbell as well. Other players who recorded assists for St. Andrews College were Jacob Miller and Mac Lewis, who each chipped in one.

Ridley College's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three St. Andrews College power plays.

The Tigers were led by Christian Girhiny, who scored the team's only goal. Girhiny scored 43 seconds into the third period to make the score 1-1. Mat Skripchenko assisted on the tally.

St. Andrews College incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Ridley College incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
