Behind a great game by Jason Ward, who had one goal and three assists, the Dundas Real McCoys defeated the Kenora Thistles, 4-0.

Ward beat Ryan Person with a shot 10:54 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Dundas. Ward dished an assist on Ryan Christie's goal that made the score 2-0 Dundas at 18:35 into the second period. He then added assists on Christie's goal at 4:39 into the third and on Simon Mangos's goal at 15:01 into the third.

Mike Mole frustrated Kenora's offense all game, and stopped 28 shots en route to a shutout. Mole managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 1.67 prior to the game.

Dundas pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 34 penalty minutes.

The Real McCoys excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in nine chances.

In addition, Dundas received assists from Nick Smith, who had three.

The Thistles were held below their usual level of production. Kenora averages 2.3 goals per game.

Dundas registered two goals on four power play opportunities. Person rejected 25 shots on goal for the Thistles. Kenora incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
