Ryan Blunt registered one point to lead the Caledonia Corvairs to a 4-1 victory over the Waterloo Siskins. The win gave Caledonia a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series. The Corvairs forced Waterloo goalie Leo Lazarev to work between the pipes, taking 49 shots. Caledonia also got points from Connor Murphy, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Connor Patton, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Cody Brown also scored for Caledonia. In addition, Caledonia received assists from Ryan Moran, who had two and Jordan Peacock and Kyler Nixon, who each chipped in one. The Siskins stifled Caledonia's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Waterloo was led by Troy Lajeunesse, who scored the team's only goal. Lajeunesse scored on the power play 1:26 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Waterloo. Mitch Atkins picked up the assist. Colin Furlong made 21 saves for the Corvairs on 22 shots. Caledonia incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Lazarev recorded 45 saves for the Siskins. Waterloo incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
