El Paso Rhinos took the lead against Idaho Junior Steelheads in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 4-2 victory. El Paso Rhinos took over the lead for good with a goal by Nick Plesa at 2:32 in the first period. Peter Plesa assisted on the tally.Plesa had two goals to lead El Paso Rhinos to victory. El Paso Rhinos stifled Idaho Junior Steelheads' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. El Paso Rhinos forced Idaho Junior Steelheads goalie Sean Healy to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. El Paso Rhinos additionally got points from Matthew Plesa, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. El Paso Rhinos also got a goal from David Nelson as well.
