DaSilva leads MISSISSAUGA to shutout victory over DURHAM WEST

MISSISSAUGA used a sparkling performance by Alysia DaSilva to take down DURHAM WEST, as the netminder did not allow a goal in MISSISSAUGA's 3-0 shutout victory.

MISSISSAUGA was led by Kaitlin Lowy, who registered one goal. Lowy scored 4:14 into the second period to make the score 1-0 MISSISSAUGA. Kelly Mariani picked up the assist.

MISSISSAUGA did not rack up many penalties in the contest, finishing with a minimal one minor for two minutes in penalty time. MISSISSAUGA took advantage of DURHAM WEST's penalties, tallying two goals off of three power play opportunities.

MISSISSAUGA also had goals scored by Nadine Edney and Caitlyn Sadowy, who scored one goal each. In addition, MISSISSAUGA received assists from Stephanie Sucharda, who had one and Taylor Pagniello (AP), who had two.

DURHAM WEST's offense rang up 34 shots on MISSISSAUGA's net.

DaSilva rejected 34 shots on goal for MISSISSAUGA. Melissa Black recorded 27 saves for DURHAM WEST. DURHAM WEST incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
