MISSISSAUGA survived a determined comeback attempt by DURHAM WEST on the way to a 3-1 win. MISSISSAUGA made the score 3-0 on a goal by Kaitlin Lowy at 14:25 in the third period, and DURHAM WEST got as close as 3-1 when Hayley Flynn scored 16:58 into the third period. Nadine Edney had a great game for MISSISSAUGA, netting two goals. Edney found the back of the net 6:48 into the second period to make the score 1-0 MISSISSAUGA and again while 9:49 into the second to make the score 2-0 MISSISSAUGA. MISSISSAUGA's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five DURHAM WEST power plays. In addition, MISSISSAUGA received assists from Caitlyn Sadowy, Alex Finlayson, and Lindsay Agnew, who each chipped in one. Amelia Boughn rejected 18 shots on goal for MISSISSAUGA. MISSISSAUGA incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Stephanie Sluys recorded 19 saves for DURHAM WEST. DURHAM WEST incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. |
