GAME RECAP

BRAMPTON rolls over STONEY CREEK, 5-1

Century Gardens    Sun, Mar 23, 2014

BRAMPTON had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over STONEY CREEK.

BRAMPTON's Katie Bidulka was a brick wall in net, as she came up with 26 saves and let only one puck past her. Despite the solid performance, Bidulka will actually see her goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.2 entering the contest.

BRAMPTON was led by Meagan OBrien, who finished with one goal and one assist. OBrien scored 8:35 into the first period to make the score 2-0 BRAMPTON. Christina Ieradi (A) picked up the assist.

BRAMPTON put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow STONEY CREEK to score on any of its four power plays.

Others who scored for BRAMPTON included Jillian Battista, Emily Landry, Alicia Waddingham, and Chelsea Ball, who each put in one. In addition, BRAMPTON received assists from Vanessa Tavares (C), Brooke Hartwick, Morgen Kidney, and Jessica Geddes, who contributed one each.

BRAMPTON incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors and had no power play opportunities. Sarah McDonnell recorded 17 saves for STONEY CREEK.
