Stewart lifts Dundas over Brantford, 5-1

Greg Stewart was all over the ice for the Dundas Real McCoys, as he tallied two goals in Dundas' 5-1 win over the Brantford Blast.

Stewart found the back of the net 13:16 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Dundas and again while 8:13 into the second to make the score 3-1 Dundas.

With the win, the Real McCoys evened the series at 2-2 in the best of seven showdown.

Dundas was led by goalie Mike Mole, who finished with 27 saves while allowing one goal. Mole certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.87 entering the contest.

The Real McCoys had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just one goal on 10 chances.

Dundas also got a goal from Darryl Smith as well. More assists for Dundas came via Jason Ward, who had two and Kevin Bolibruck, Simon Mangos, Justin Davis, Randy Rowe, and Jerry Galway, who each chipped in one.

Brantford was led by Chris Rebernik, who scored the team's only goal. Rebernik scored on the power play 3:42 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Dundas. A hooking penalty on Stewart had put the Blast on the power play. Cam Sault assisted on the tally.

Dundas ended with 33 minutes in penalty time with nine minors and one major. The Real McCoys ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Adam Deleeuw was ejected from the game. Brett Leggat made 24 saves for Brantford on 29 shots. The Blast incurred 52 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors.
