Penetang's comeback falls short, Alliston wins 4-2

The Penetang Kings almost clawed their way back from a three-goal deficit, but the Alliston Hornets managed to pull out a 4-2 win in the end.

Alliston led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Hornets' Tanner Dockerty scored at 7:11 in the first period to put Alliston up 3-0.

With the win, the Hornets evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown.

Jacob Tuck was all over the ice for Alliston, as he registered two goals in the win. Tuck found the back of the net on the power play 5:10 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Alliston and again while on the power play 7:30 into the third to make the score 4-2 Alliston.

The Hornets stifled Penetang's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Alliston additionally got points from Mark ODonnell, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for Alliston came via Dakota Brooks, who had two, Nic Archibald, who had three, and William Brandon and David Leblanc, who each chipped in one.

The Kings' offense rang up 40 shots on Alliston's net.

Penetang was helped by Brayden Laurin, who had one goal. Laurin scored 12:47 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Alliston. Sammy Gagnon picked up the assist. Hayden Cole also scored for Penetang. In addition, Penetang received assists from Myles York and Jessey Moreau, who contributed one each.

Tyler Brindle rejected 38 shots on goal for the Hornets. Alliston incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Adam Redgate recorded 22 saves for the Kings. Penetang incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
