Huge game by Wade boosts Almonte Thunder over Renfrew Timberwolves, 6-2

Behind a great game by Ben Wade, who had one goal and two assists, Almonte Thunder defeated Renfrew Timberwolves, 6-2.

Wade beat Matt Gagne with a shot 4:47 into the first period on the power play to make the score 1-0 Almonte Thunder. Almonte Thunder earned a power play opportunity when Colin Bradbury was put in the box for interference. Tyler McKechnie assisted on the tally. Wade dished an assist on Conor Rolland's goal that made the score 4-2 Almonte Thunder at 11:12 into the third period. He added another helper on Luke Martin's goal that made the score 5-2 Almonte Thunder at 15:14 into the third period.

Almonte Thunder stifled Renfrew Timberwolves' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Almonte Thunder's goal total was higher than its season average. Almonte Thunder averages 3.8 goals per game.

Almonte Thunder also got points from Andrew Rowbotham, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Martin, who also had one goal and two assists. Almonte Thunder also had goals scored by Nick Villeneuve and Justin Marquis, who each put in one. In addition, Almonte Thunder received assists from Brandon Mendham and Riley Shore, who contributed two a piece.
