Zach Shomphe recorded a shutout against the Ayr Centennials as the Paris Mounties picked up a 1-0 win. The win gave Paris a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series. Daniel Pugliese's game-winning tally was the game's only goal. It came at 5:30 in the third period. An interference penalty on Brendan Schaefer had put the Mounties on the power play. Zack Skubnik picked up the assist. Paris was paced by Pugliese, who grabbed one goal. The Mounties' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Ayr power plays. Ayr kept Paris' goalie busy throughout the game, and Shomphe made 33 saves on 33 shots. The Mounties incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Mitch Figueirdo made 23 saves for the Centennials on 24 shots. Ayr incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
