Lindsay Audia scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and Melbourne Ice held off the challenges of Adelaide Adrenaline in a tough 2-0 win.

Audia provided Melbourne Ice with the game-winning tally when she scored 12:38 into the the first period. Melbourne Ice found itself down a man on Lucy Parrington's tripping.

Elizabeth Knox spearheaded the defensive effort for Melbourne Ice, as she did not allow a puck past him and made 32 saves for the shutout. Knox managed to improve on her goals against average, which stood at 0.94 prior to the game.

Melbourne Ice was led by Audia, who finished with one goal.

Melbourne Ice put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Adelaide Adrenaline to score on any of its four power plays.
