Austin Isaacson had one goal and four assists to lead the New Prague Spartans to a 5-2 victory over the Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats.

Isaacson scored 1:04 into the second period to make the score 3-1 New Prague. Alex Gregor picked up the assist. Isaacson dished an assist on Seth Kriha's goal that made the score 1-1 at 9:04 into the first period. He then added assists on Gregor's goal at 46 seconds into the second, on Gregor's goal at 3:24 into the second, and on Kriha's goal at 1:30 into the third.

The win gave New Prague a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

The Spartans' penalty kill unit could not stop Chisago Lakes Area's power play, which converted on two of three opportunities.

New Prague also got points from Gregor, who also had two goals and three assists and Kriha, who also racked up two goals and one assist. In addition, New Prague received assists from Ryan Drazan, who had two.

The Wildcats were led by Billy Knaak, who registered one goal. Knaak scored on the power play 5:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Chisago Lakes Area. Chisago Lakes Area had gained a power play chance when Drazan was whistled for interference. Zak Lambrecht assisted on the tally. Chisago Lakes Area also got a goal from Blake Lizotte as well.

New Prague incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Wildcats incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
