Dorchester wins tough contest against Lambeth, 5-3

The game between the Dorchester Dolphins and the Lambeth Lancers was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Dorchester emerged with a 5-3 win.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Tommy Prokes secured the win for the Dolphins with a goal in the second period.

After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Lambeth faces elimination next time out.

Dorchester got the win behind a great game by Gus Ford, who had two goals and one assist. Ford scored the first of his two goals at 18 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-1. Brendon O Shaughnessy assisted on the tally. Ford's next tally made the score 4-2 Dorchester with 6:38 left in the second period.

The Dolphins stifled the Lancers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Dorchester kept Lambeth's goalie busy throughout the game, and JP Trudell made 37 saves on 42 shots.

Dorchester also got points from O Shaughnessy, who also registered one goal and one assist. Dorchester also got a goal from Dylan Salter as well. Other players who recorded assists for Dorchester were Shayne Rhyno, Tyler Blue, and Cale Duberry, who each chipped in one.

The Lancers forced the Dolphins goalie Craig Wood to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.

Lambeth was helped by Mitch Thomas, who grabbed one goal. Thomas scored 2:52 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Dorchester. Kale Corbeth provided the assist. Others who scored for Lambeth included Tanner Smith and Mitch Furlonger, who scored one goal each. In addition, Lambeth received assists from Ryan Pennington, who had one and Cody Wuytenburg, who had two.

Wood rejected 35 shots on goal for Dorchester. The Dolphins incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Lancers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
