Huge game by Wiffen boosts Trenton over Whitby, 6-3

Brady Wiffen was all over the ice for the Trenton Golden Hawks, as he tallied one goal and two assists in Trenton's 6-3 win over the Whitby Fury.

Wiffen scored 18:07 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Trenton. Tyler Mayea picked up the assist. Wiffen dished an assist on Zach de Concilys's goal that made the score 1-0 Trenton at 3:39 into the first period. He added another helper on Jason Zaleski's goal that made the score 3-0 Trenton at 19:34 into the first period.

The win by the Golden Hawks clinched the best of seven series at 4-2.

Trenton also got points from Zaleski, who also had two goals and one assist. Trenton also got a goal from Danny Liscio as well. Other players who recorded assists for Trenton were Mathew Thompson, Tyler Donaldson, Bobby Polachek, Chrisitian Lloyd, Shaquille Hickey, and Ryan Kinsella, who each chipped in one.

Trenton was unable to stop Whitby from sending pucks towards the net, and the Fury eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

Whitby was helped by Adam Clements, who grabbed one goal. Clements scored 17:36 into the third period to make the score 5-3 Trenton. Jeff Murray assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Whitby included Henry Thompson and Taylor Best, who scored one goal each. In addition, Whitby received assists from Ryan Kirkup, who had two and Marcus Crawford and Connor Hale, who contributed one each.

Denny Dubblestyne rejected 31 shots on goal for the Golden Hawks. Trenton incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Tyler Feaver made 20 saves for the Fury on 25 shots. Whitby incurred 36 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
