Boston's goals lift Aurora to 6-2 victory over Newmarket

Behind a great game by Tyler Boston, who had two goals, the Aurora Tigers defeated the Newmarket Hurricanes, 6-2.

Boston scored at 8:41 into the third period to make the score 2-2 and again while 10:55 into the third to make the score 4-2 Aurora.

The win by Aurora clinched the best of seven series at 4-0.

The Tigers pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 22 penalty minutes.

Aurora's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Newmarket power plays. Newmarket was unable to stop the Tigers from sending pucks towards the net, and Aurora eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

Aurora also got points from Kory Kennedy, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Michael Laidley, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Eric Williams, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Aurora also got a goal from Dylan Sikura as well. More assists for Aurora came via Taylor McCloy, who had two and Austin Rigney, Adam DiBrina, and Mihkel Poldma, who each chipped in one.

The Hurricanes kept the Tigers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Kevin Entmaa made 29 saves on 31 shots. Newmarket's penalty kill was ineffective, and let in two goals to Aurora's power play unit.

The Hurricanes were helped by Jesse Saban, who grabbed one goal. Saban scored 7:58 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Newmarket. Curtis Harvey picked up the assist. Kyle Stephan also scored for Newmarket. In addition, Newmarket received assists from Cameron Nicoll, Taylor Joseph, and Ryan Kruss, who contributed one each.

Bo Bessette made 26 saves for Newmarket on 32 shots. The Hurricanes incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
