Toronto falls to Toronto Lakeshore in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Toronto Lakeshore Patriots pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over the Toronto Junior Canadiens on a clutch goal by Nathan Feric.

The win by Toronto Lakeshore clinched the best of seven series at 4-0.

Andreas Tsogkas had two goals to lead the Patriots to victory. Tsogkas scored on the power play at 10:43 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Toronto Lakeshore and again while on the power play 17:36 into the second to make the score 3-2 Toronto Lakeshore.

Toronto Lakeshore kept Toronto's goalie busy throughout the game, and Michael Bullion made 33 saves on 37 shots.

Jacob Hayhurst also scored for Toronto Lakeshore. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto Lakeshore were Kevin Shier, who had three and Niko Kovachis, Marcus Rose, Doug Bonar, and Michael Prapavessis, who each chipped in one.

The Patriots were unable to stop the Junior Canadiens from sending pucks towards the net, and Toronto eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

The Junior Canadiens were helped by Anthony Repaci, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Repaci scored on the power play 4:40 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Toronto Lakeshore. Toronto had taken the advantage when Toronto Lakeshore's Kovachis got sent off for interference. Connor Prudames picked up the assist. Toronto also got points from Prudames, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Daniel Harquail, who also racked up one goal and one assist. In addition, Toronto received assists from Aaron Spivak, who had one and Cody Thompson, who had two.

Evan Buitenhuis recorded 30 saves for the Patriots. Toronto Lakeshore incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Junior Canadiens incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
