Zach McQuade was all over the ice for the Thorold Blackhawks, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Thorold's 7-2 win over the Ancaster Avalanche. McQuade's tallies came on the power play at 2:48 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Thorold and 3:22 into the third to make the score 5-2 Thorold.The win by the Blackhawks broke a deadlock and gave Thorold a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series. Ancaster fell victim to a deadly the Blackhawks power play, which ripped the Avalanche for four goals. Thorold's offense rang up 41 shots on Ancaster's net. The Blackhawks got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. Matt Calas rejected 34 shots on goal for Ancaster. The Avalanche incurred 36 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
