Nic Archibald racked up one point to lead the Alliston Hornets to a 5-2 victory over the Stayner Siskins.

The win gave Alliston a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series.

The Hornets excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

Alliston additionally got points from David Leblanc, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Alliston included Joe Cochrane, Mark ODonnell, and Bobby Sloan, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Alliston were Zack Byblow, William Brandon, Tanner Dockerty, and Ben Skuce, who each chipped in one.

Stayner kept Alliston's goalie busy throughout the game, and Tyler Brindle made 31 saves on 33 shots.

The Siskins were helped by Ricky Darrell, who tallied one goal. Darrell scored 7:12 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Stayner. Quinton Bruce picked up the assist. Stayner also got a goal from Cooper Martin as well. In addition, Stayner received assists from Kyle Lafreniere and Jason Seeley, who contributed one a piece.

The Hornets incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Stayner's Taylor Trace stopped 18 shots out of the 23 that he faced. The Siskins incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors. For Stayner, Derick Robertson was ejected from the game.
