Eden Prairie downs Benilde-St. Margaret's in double overtime thriller

Jack Keeley gave the Eden Prairie Eagles a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Benilde-St. Margarets Red Knights when he scored 2:36 into the extra period.

The win gave Eden Prairie a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

The Eagles were led by Keeley, who grabbed one goal.

Eden Prairie additionally got points from Steven Spinner, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Eden Prairie also got a goal from Colton Schmidt as well. In addition, Eden Prairie received assists from Brady Schoo, Luc Snuggerud, and Michael Parrish, who contributed one a piece.

Benilde-St. Margarets was helped by Will Duda, who registered one goal. Duda scored 14:03 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Benilde-St. Margarets. Nate Meyer assisted on the tally. Spencer Naas also scored for Benilde-St. Margarets. Other players who recorded assists for Benilde-St. Margarets were Ben Newhouse, who had one.

Jake Gerdes made 24 saves for Eden Prairie on 26 shots. The Eagles incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Jalen Long recorded 27 saves for the Red Knights. Benilde-St. Margarets incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
