Renfrew Timberwolves had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-2 win over Shawville Pontiacs.

With the win, Renfrew Timberwolves evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown.

Renfrew Timberwolves was sparked by Scott Conroy, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Conroy scored on the power play 6:31 into the second period to make the score 3-0 Renfrew Timberwolves. Renfrew Timberwolves had gained a power play chance when Danick Genest was whistled for slashing. Cole Allard picked up the assist.

Renfrew Timberwolves put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Shawville Pontiacs to score on any of its five power plays. Renfrew Timberwolves forced Shawville Pontiacs goalie Joshua Horner to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots.

Renfrew Timberwolves also got points from Colin Bradbury, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Tyler MacDonald, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Renfrew Timberwolves also had goals scored by Teddy Suckow, Sean Kyte, and Matt McIntyre, who each put in one. More assists for Renfrew Timberwolves came via Tanner Smith, Luke Lapierre, and Alex Campbell, who contributed one a piece.

Shawville Pontiacs kept Renfrew Timberwolves' goalie busy throughout the game, and Matt Gagne made 31 saves on 33 shots.

Renfrew Timberwolves totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 3-for-11 on the power play. Joshua Horner made 40 saves for Shawville Pontiacs on 46 shots. Shawville Pontiacs ended with 27 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors and one major.
