Almonte Thunder's Ben Wade had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 3-1 win over Arnprior Packers. Wade scored at 10:32 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while 2:44 into the second to make the score 2-1 Almonte Thunder.With the win, Almonte Thunder evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown. Almonte Thunder was led by goalie Alex Daley, who finished with 38 saves while allowing one goal. Despite the solid performance, Daley will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.0 entering the contest. Almonte Thunder pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 18 penalty minutes. Almonte Thunder forced Arnprior Packers goalie Erik Miksik to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. Almonte Thunder got its opportunities on the power play, but did not convert any of its 10 chances. Almonte Thunder also got points from Luke Martin, who also racked up one goal and one assist. In addition, Almonte Thunder received assists from Tyler McKechnie, who had two and Cameron Cornwall and Brendan Rousselle, who contributed one a piece. Arnprior Packers stifled Almonte Thunder's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Arnprior Packers' offense rang up 39 shots on Almonte Thunder's net. Arnprior Packers was led by Jake Gaudet, who scored the team's only goal. Gaudet scored on the power play 4:48 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Arnprior Packers. Arnprior Packers had gotten the advantage when Almonte Thunder's Brandon Mendham was sent off for slashing. John McLean picked up the assist. Miksik rejected 33 shots on goal for Arnprior Packers. Arnprior Packers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Dallas Farr was ejected from the game.
