Molinski nets hat trick, leads Ottawa Canadians to 8-5 win over Almonte Thunder

Jamie Molinski lifted Ottawa Canadians to an 8-5 victory with a hat trick against Almonte Thunder.

Molinski got on the scoresheet 9:57 into the first period. He then added goals at 4:35 into the second and at 17:42 into the second.

Ottawa Canadians made Almonte Thunder's netminders to work between the pipes, finishing with 42 shots and forcing 34 saves. Alex Daley made 16 stops and Richard Barr made 18. Ottawa Canadians surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Ottawa Canadians averages 4.0 goals per game.

Ottawa Canadians incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Almonte Thunder incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
