The xSarnia Legionnaires' Josh Kestner scored 4:48 into overtime to beat the xLaSalle Vipers, 5-4 (OT). xSarnia came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Legionnaires trailed 3-1 after a goal by xLaSalle's Zack Percy at 11:28 in the second period. xSarnia knotted things up at 4-4 on a power play goal by Ryan Vendramin at 7:13 in the third period. Kestner had a great game for the Legionnaires, netting two goals. The Vipers were unable to stop xSarnia from sending pucks towards the net, and the Legionnaires eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. xSarnia also got a goal from Brad Campbell as well. More assists for xSarnia came via Jay Clarke, who had three, Davis Boyer, Riley Babkirk, and Hunter Johnson, who each chipped in one, and Cody Trowell and Nathan Mater, who contributed two a piece. xLaSalle forced xSarnia goalie Johnson to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. The Vipers were led by Aaron Luchuk, who registered one goal and one assist. Luchuk scored 5:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 xLaSalle. Mark Manchurek provided the assist. xLaSalle also got points from Manchurek, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Daniel Beaudoin also scored for xLaSalle. Other players who recorded assists for xLaSalle were Dylan Denomme, who had two and Bill Eansor and Ben Hanus, who each chipped in one. Johnson recorded 34 saves for the Legionnaires. xSarnia incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Cameron Zanussi made 29 saves for xLaSalle on 34 shots. The Vipers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
