A hat trick by Dakota Brooks was the highlight in Hornets' 7-2 win against the Fergus Devils. Brooks got on the scoresheet 17:30 into the first period. He then added goals at 49 seconds into the second and at 13:14 into the second.After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Fergus faces elimination next time out. The game was close after the first frame, but the Alliston Hornets banged in five goals during the second period to put the victory out of reach for the Devils. Fergus was unable to stop Alliston from sending pucks towards the net, and the Hornets eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. Alliston additionally got points from David Leblanc, who also registered one goal and three assists. Mark ODonnell also scored for Alliston. More assists for Alliston came via Nic Archibald, who had two and Jamie Bennett, Jacob Tuck, Joe Cochrane, and Tanner Dockerty, who each chipped in one. The Devils were led by Ben Roelofson, who racked up one goal and one assist. Roelofson scored on the power play 8:22 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Alliston. Fergus had gained a power play chance when Bennett was whistled for slashing. Mike Traves provided the assist. Fergus also got a goal from Robert Ebach as well. In addition, Fergus received assists from Joshua Schafer and James Murray, who contributed one a piece. Connor Ryckman rejected 17 shots on goal for Alliston. The Hornets incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Alex Elliott made 30 saves for the Devils on 37 shots. Fergus incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
