Dorchester holds on for 3-2 win against Aylmer

The Aylmer Spitfires tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Dorchester Dolphins held on for a 3-2 victory.

A goal by Cale Duberry put Dorchester up 3-1 in the third period, but Aylmer pulled to within one on Luke Bettencourt's tally 17:26 into the third period.

The win gave the Dolphins a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series.

Duberry had a great game for Dorchester, netting two goals.

The Dolphins forced the Spitfires goalie Dan Black to work between the pipes, taking 51 shots.

Dorchester also got points from Dylan Salter, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Dorchester were Matt Ross, who had one and Bryan McCauley, who had two.

Aylmer was led by Clint Walker, who registered one goal and one assist. Walker scored on the power play 5:07 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Aylmer. The Spitfires had gotten the advantage when Dorchester's Duberry was sent off for tripping. Cody Underhill assisted on the tally.

Craig Wood rejected 28 shots on goal for the Dolphins. Dorchester incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Dan Black made 48 saves for Aylmer on 51 shots. The Spitfires incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
