The Mount Forest Patriots pulled out a 5-4 (OT) overtime victory over the Walkerton Hawks on a clutch goal by Ben Davis. Mount Forest came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Patriots fell behind 3-1 after a power play goal by Walkerton's Tyler Snyder at 5:33 in the third period. Mount Forest knotted things up at 4-4 on a goal by Austin Russell at 18:52 in the third period. Doug Costanzo had a great game for the Patriots, netting two goals. Costanzo scored at 7:52 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Walkerton and again while 14:18 into the third to make the score 4-3 Mount Forest. Mount Forest was often in penalty trouble, totaling six minors and one major for 47 minutes in penalty time. The Patriots surpassed its season average of 21.0 penalty minutes per game. Mount Forest forced the Hawks goalie Trevor Fleming to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots. Mount Forest additionally got points from Davis, who also finished with one goal and one assist.
