The xLeamington Flyers tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the xStrathroy Rockets would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 2-1.

xStrathroy made the score 2-0 on a goal by Brett Dalton at 14:27 in the second period, and xLeamington got as close as 2-1 when Nathan Opblinger scored 18:31 into the third period.

The Rockets were led by goalie Tynan Lauziere, who finished with 27 saves while allowing one goal. Lauziere managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.99 prior to the game.

xStrathroy excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

xStrathroy also got a goal from Wes Baker as well. In addition, xStrathroy received assists from Kurtis Sander, Cole Mayo, and Nick Boyer, who each chipped in one.

The Flyers could not produce up to they normal offensive output. xLeamington averages 4.4 goals per game.

The Rockets incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Trevor Wheaton recorded 21 saves for the Flyers. xLeamington incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
