Napanee downs Amherstview in overtime, 6-5 (OT)Strathcona Paper Tue, Jan 14, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The Napanee Raiders pulled out a 6-5 (OT) overtime victory over the Amherstview Jets on a clutch goal by Josh St.Peter. Napanee overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Raiders fell behind 4-2 after a goal by Amherstview's Brody Taylor at 15:50 in the second period. Napanee tied things up at 5-5 on a goal by Zach Masterson at 19:25 in the third period. The Jets were unable to stop the Raiders from sending pucks towards the net, and Napanee eventually piled up 36 shots on goal. Napanee additionally got points from Bud Norris, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Tyler Romain, who also had one goal and one assist, Austin Boulard, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Jake Falcao, who also registered one goal and one assist. Napanee also got a goal from Chris Doyle as well. Other players who recorded assists for Napanee were Ryan Casselman, Jordan Cannons, and Mitch Pearce, who each chipped in one. The Raiders incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. James DAndrea rejected 30 shots on goal for Amherstview. The Jets incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
