xColorado Eagles downs Southern Oregon Spartans, 5-2

Tanner Ulland registered one point to lead xColorado Eagles to a 5-2 victory over Southern Oregon Spartans.

xColorado Eagles excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. xColorado Eagles' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

xColorado Eagles also got points from Kyle Arenson, who also had one goal and two assists and Jackson Wallis, who also racked up one goal and one assist. xColorado Eagles also had goals scored by Cory Richardson and Levi Weber, who scored one goal each. In addition, xColorado Eagles received assists from Scott Smoot, who had two and Lance Pennington, Luke Galatiuk, Logan Libal, Nick Davidson, and Cody Dettmann, who contributed one a piece.

Southern Oregon Spartans was helped by Zachary Lovelace, who finished with one goal. Lovelace scored 12:22 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Southern Oregon Spartans. Trevor Hillman picked up the assist. Southern Oregon Spartans also got a goal from Carl Edstrom as well. Other players who recorded assists for Southern Oregon Spartans were Arturs Buss, who had one and Justus Saldeen, who had two.

xColorado Eagles' Eric Messer stopped 24 shots out of the 26 that he faced. xColorado Eagles totaled 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors and two majors and went 1-for-5 on the power play. Jiri Ponikelsky took the loss and made 20 saves before being replaced by Ian Dvorak who made four saves. Southern Oregon Spartans ended with 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors and two majors.
