The Carleton Place Canadians had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-0 win over the Gloucester Rangers.

Stephen Cooney was all over the ice for Carleton Place, as he tallied two goals in the win. Cooney scored at 8:40 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Carleton Place and again while on the power play 16:42 into the third to make the score 6-0 Carleton Place.

Gloucester's power play was ineffective against the Canadians' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Carleton Place put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Rangers to score on any of their seven power plays.
