Chicago Fury (MM) stifles Thunder AAA Hockey (MM)'s comeback, gains 4-2 victory

Chicago Fury (MM) came close to giving away a four-goal lead to Thunder AAA Hockey (MM), but did just enough to escape with a 4-2 victory.

Chicago Fury (MM) led by four goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Chicago Fury (MM)'s Jack Nile's scored at 9:04 in the first period to put Chicago Fury (MM) up 4-0.

Nile had two goals and one assist to lead Chicago Fury (MM). Nile scored the first of his two goals at 4:08 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Chicago Fury (MM). GARRETT RIEBLING provided the assist. Nile's next tally made the score Chicago Fury (MM) with 10:56 left in the first period. ANDREW BUSSEY picked up the assist.

Chicago Fury (MM) additionally got points from Jeremy Norway, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Chicago Fury (MM) also got a goal from SCOTT SWANSON as well. More assists for Chicago Fury (MM) came via JOSEPH KINSELLA and Jason Kowalczyk, who contributed one a piece.

Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) stifled Chicago Fury (MM)'s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) was led by Mitch Fossier, who registered one goal. Fossier scored 14:12 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Chicago Fury (MM). Nathan Krusko assisted on the tally. Luc Soares also scored for Thunder AAA Hockey (MM). In addition, Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) received assists from Drew Holcombe, Maxwell Dorfman, and Connor Wood, who each chipped in one.

Chicago Fury (MM)'s Jeremy Wik stopped 21 shots out of the 23 that he faced. Chicago Fury (MM) incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Thunder AAA Hockey (MM)'s starting goalie, Nicholas Anderson, made three saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Joseph Cruz, who stopped eight shots. Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
