West had a six-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 8-1 win over South. Tim Santopoalo was all over the ice for West, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Santopoalo scored 6:05 into the first period to make the score 2-0 West. Richie Marenis picked up the assist. West made South's goaltenders to work without much rest, ripping 37 shots and forcing 29 saves. Jude Hull made 14 stops and Colton Anderson made 15. West excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. West additionally got points from Marenis, who also finished with two goals and two assists to lead the team in points and Calvin Miska, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for West included Joe Anderson, Garrett Skinner, Jace Childs, and Matt Kroska, who each put in one. In addition, West received assists from Ian Ecklund, who had two, Christian Mohs, who had three, and Jake Mullendore, Isaac Hale, and AJ Gullickson, who contributed one a piece. Kyle Shreve also scored for South. West took out Austin Wilson after he had made 14 saves and installed Chris Amsden in goal, where he finished with 10 saves and the win. West incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. South incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
