East tried its best to erase a four-goal deficit, but Central would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 6-4. A goal by Hunter Schneider put Central up 5-1 in the third period, but East pulled to within two on Carter Reid's tally 10:58 into the third period. Schneider had a great game for Central, netting two goals. Central also had goals scored by Andrew McGlynn, Zane OBryan, Zack Johnson, and Nathan Chasteen, who scored one goal each. In addition, Central received assists from Tommy Heinzman, who had two and Blake Ortman, Brendan Murphy, Toms Taurins, Ryan Martin, Aaron Storch, and Andrew Scofield, who contributed one a piece. East was helped by Tyler Zalecki, who tallied one goal. Zalecki scored 3:34 into the first period to make the score 1-0 East. Brendan Logan provided the assist. Others who scored for East included Cody Black and Mark McGee, who each put in one. More assists for East came via Nick Balavich, Stefan Horgas, Zach Armstrong, Oskar Thorsen, and Zach MacKay, who each chipped in one. Billy Hindle recorded 26 saves for Central. Central incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Anders Franke made 10 saves before being replaced by Walker Bass, who took the loss and made six saves. East incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
