The Dundas Blues' Alex Panov scored 47 seconds into overtime to beat the Chippawa Riverhawks, 2-1 (OT).

Dundas' Brock Novak was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 37 saves and let only one puck past him. The solid play of Novak will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 3.24.

The Blues' penalty kill excelled, as Dundas gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 15:18 into the second period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts.

The Blues' offense rang up 40 shots on Chippawa's net.

Dundas also got a goal from Dan Pelosini as well. Other players who recorded assists for Dundas were Thomas Dowling, Garret Incze, Alex Aquin, and Tyler Jones, who contributed one a piece.

The Riverhawks racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with seven minors and one major for 39 minutes in penalty time. Chippawa surpassed its season average of 23.0 penalty minutes per game. The Riverhawks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in eight chances. Chippawa was held below its usual level of production. The Riverhawks average 3.6 goals per game. Chippawa forced Dundas goalie Novak to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.

The Riverhawks were led by Wade Kenny, who scored the team's only goal. Kenny scored on the power play 11:49 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Chippawa. Chippawa had gained a power play chance when Braxton Andrews was whistled for holding. Curtis Sauve picked up the assist.

The Blues ended with 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. For Dundas, Branden Graffi was ejected from the game. Colin Dunne recorded 38 saves for the Riverhawks. Chippawa ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Joseph Costello was ejected from the game.
