Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Belle Tire (MM) defeated Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) in a shootout 4-3 (3-2 SO).

The shootout featured six attempts between both teams. Thunder AAA Hockey (MM)'s shootout goals were scored by Mitch Fossier and Nathan Krusko. In addition to the clincher, Belle Tire (MM) got shootout goals from Matt Stief and Steven Merl.

Belle Tire (MM) overcame a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. Belle Tire (MM) fell behind 3-0 after a power play goal by Thunder AAA Hockey (MM)'s Drew Holcombe at 5:02 in the first period. Belle Tire (MM) tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Jared Domin at 1:39 in the second period.

Belle Tire (MM) was helped by Isaac Ceh, who registered one goal. Ceh scored on the power play 13:13 into the first period to make the score 3-2 Thunder AAA Hockey (MM). Dawson DiPietro picked up the assist. Belle Tire (MM) also got points from Domin, who also racked up one goal and one assist and LAYTHE JADALLAH, who also registered one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Belle Tire (MM) were Steven Orizotti, who had one and Jalen Chatfield, who had two.

Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) was helped by Austin Beaulieu, who tallied one goal. Beaulieu scored 4:30 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Thunder AAA Hockey (MM). Logan Orem assisted on the tally. Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) also got a goal from Luc Soares as well. In addition, Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) received assists from Phillip Zbell, Fossier, and Christopher Magee, who each chipped in one.

Jordan Severo recorded 25 saves for Belle Tire (MM). Belle Tire (MM) ended with no penalties and went 1-for-0 on the power play. Thunder AAA Hockey (MM)'s Joseph Cruz stopped 26 shots out of the 29 that he faced. Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored one goal off of zero power plays.
