Almonte Thunder climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat Shawville Pontiacs, 5-4. Almonte Thunder let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a two hole to pick up the win. Almonte Thunder took a 1-0 advantage on a goal by Riley Shore at 1:43 in the first period. Almonte Thunder found itself down 4-2 after Shawville Pontiacs' Christopher Bones put the puck home at 4:54 in the third period. After knotting things up at 4-4 on a goal by Shore at 11:10 in the third, Almonte Thunder got the game-winner from Brandon Mendham at 16:53 in the third period. Andrew Rowbotham was all over the ice for Almonte Thunder, as he tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Rowbotham scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 9:24 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Almonte Thunder. Almonte Thunder had gotten the advantage when Shawville Pontiacs' Lucas Driscoll-McKinnon was sent off for checking from behind. Brendan Rousselle picked up the assist.
