The Billings Bulls beat the Bozeman Icedogs, 2-1, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout. A goal 21:09 into the the first period by T J Theodosopoulos proved to be the game winner, and powered Billings to the victory Conner Brady picked up the assist.Bozeman threw everything it had at the Bulls' Ray Smith, but he responded by making 15 saves to secure the win. Billings was sparked by Theodosopoulos, who tallied one goal. The Bulls excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Dixon Whitehead also scored for Billings. In addition, Billings received assists from Colter Endy, who had one. The Icedogs put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Billings to score on any of its three power plays. Bozeman's offense rang up 31 shots on the Bulls' net. The Icedogs were led by Ryan Erickson, who scored the team's only goal. Erickson scored 13:00 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Kegan Couture provided the assist. Billings incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Zach Skop took the loss and made 10 saves before being replaced by Devin Day who made 10 saves. Bozeman incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
