Kavanagh's hat trick boosts Adelaide Adrenaline over Brisbane Goannas, 6-1

Brisbane Goannas could not stop Adelaide Adrenaline's Bethanie Kavanagh, who tallied a hat trick in a 6-1 win.

Kavanagh notched her first tally 14:09 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:26 into the first and at 8:13 into the third.

With 40 shots on target during the contest, Adelaide Adrenaline exceeded the 4.0 shots it averages per game this year.

Adelaide Adrenaline also got points from Sari Lehmann, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Adelaide Adrenaline included Kirsty Venus and Natalie Ayris, who scored one goal each. In addition, Adelaide Adrenaline received assists from Kelly Harris, Candice Mitchell, Kate Tihema, and Taylor Botterill, who each chipped in one.

Brisbane Goannas' offense was clicking better than usual and put 22 shots on goal during the game, better than the 1.3 shot per game it averages.

Brisbane Goannas was led by Kelly Costa, who scored the team's only goal. Costa scored 13:55 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Brisbane Goannas. Jemma Wallace provided the assist.
