Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as California Titans 14U defeated Pursuit of Excellence 14U in a shootout 3-2.

The shootout featured nine attempts between both teams. Pursuit of Excellence 14U got shootout goals from Brody Ryan and Nowel Maarhuis. In addition to the clincher, California Titans 14U got shootout goals from Callum McCleery and Daylon Mannon.

California Titans 14U came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. California Titans 14U knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Nicholas Morales at 5:42 in the second period.

California Titans 14U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Pursuit of Excellence 14U to score on any of its three power plays.
