Kincardine rips Hanover, 9-2Davidson Sun, Oct 20, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Kincardine Bulldogs had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 9-2 win over the Hanover Barons. Kincardine was led by Brandon Priestap, who had one goal. Priestap scored 18:53 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Kincardine. Tanner Simpson picked up the assist. The Bulldogs put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Hanover to score on any of its three power plays. Kincardine kept the Barons' goalie busy throughout the game, and Cam Harron made 51 saves on 60 shots. The Bulldogs found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Kincardine averages 4.0 goals per game. Kincardine additionally got points from Shawn Moore, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Brett Catto, who also grabbed two goals and one assist, and Simpson, who also registered one goal and one assist. Jamie Miller also scored for Kincardine. Other players who recorded assists for Kincardine were Cody Britton, who had three and Chad Simpson, Dave Mercer, Matt Baker, and Lucas Johnson, who contributed one a piece. The Bulldogs were unable to stop Hanover from sending pucks towards the net, and the Barons eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. Hanover was helped by Andrew Scott, who grabbed one goal. Scott scored 9:29 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Garrett Weigel assisted on the tally. Hanover also got points from Weigel, who also finished with one goal and one assist. In addition, Hanover received assists from Zach Freiburger, who had one. Mitch Campbell rejected 31 shots on goal for Kincardine. The Bulldogs incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Barons incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
