Soo Firehawks completes comeback, beats Detroit Fighting Irish, 7-6

Soo Firehawks rallied from four goals down to secure a 7-6 win over Detroit Fighting Irish.

Soo Firehawks never led in the game until netting the game winner. Soo Firehawks trailed 4-0 after a goal by Detroit Fighting Irish's Anthony Wojciechowski at 37 seconds in the second period. Soo Firehawks tied things up at 6-6 on a goal by Nicholas Murphy at 18:20 in the third period. Soo Firehawks got the game winner at 19:54 in the third period on a goal by Murphy.

Soo Firehawks forced Detroit Fighting Irish goalie John Slavik to work between the pipes, taking 49 shots.

Soo Firehawks also got points from Luke Wizauer, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Andrew Holder also scored for Soo Firehawks. Other players who recorded assists for Soo Firehawks were Tyler Jones, who had three, Calder Ashton and Brandon Hansen, who each chipped in one, and Matthew Majic and Trevor McRorie, who contributed two a piece.
