Soo Firehawks tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but Traverse City Hounds held on for a 5-3 victory.

A goal by Jacob Gillis put Traverse City Hounds up 5-2 in the third period, but Soo Firehawks pulled to within two on Calder Ashton's tally 18:05 into the third period.

Scott Luca was all over the ice for Traverse City Hounds, as he had two goals in the win. Luca's tallies came on the power play at 14:42 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Traverse City Hounds and 16:26 into the second to make the score 4-2 Traverse City Hounds.
