Lohin's hat trick boosts Team Comcast (MM) over Thunder AAA Hockey (MM), 12-3

Ryan Lohin netted a hat trick to lead Team Comcast (MM) over Thunder AAA Hockey (MM), 12-3.

Lohin got on the scoresheet 11:15 into the first period. He then added goals at 13:05 into the first and at 13:20 into the second.

The game was close after the first frame, but Team Comcast (MM) banged in four goals during the second period to put the victory out of reach for Thunder AAA Hockey (MM).

Team Comcast (MM) pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 47 penalty minutes.

Team Comcast (MM) made Thunder AAA Hockey (MM)'s netminders to work between the pipes, racking up 51 shots and forcing 39 saves. Joseph Cruz made 25 stops and Nicholas Anderson made 14. Team Comcast (MM) put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) to score on any of its six power plays. Team Comcast (MM) surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, Team Comcast (MM) averages 4.3 goals per contest.

Team Comcast (MM) also got points from Kyle Walter, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Guy Roby, who also had one goal and three assists, Ryan Conlin, who also registered one goal and three assists, Bobby Wurster, who also had one goal and one assist, and Tyler Wyatt, who also racked up two goals and one assist. Nick Bohatiuk also scored for Team Comcast (MM). More assists for Team Comcast (MM) came via Michael Ufberg, who had two and Cole Zucker and Richard Brusco, who each chipped in three.

Tyler Tate provided the assist. Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) also had goals scored by Mitchell Foster and Zach Sarnowski, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) were Logan Orem, who had one and Cody Thomas, who had two.
