Huge game by Maiden boosts Belle Tire (MM) over Colorado Thunderbirds (MM), 7-1

Mike Maiden had two goals and one assist to lead Belle Tire (MM) to a 7-1 victory over Colorado Thunderbirds (MM).

Maiden found the back of the net 7:16 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Belle Tire (MM) and again while 14:45 into the first to make the score 2-1 Belle Tire (MM).

Belle Tire (MM) pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 22 penalty minutes.

Belle Tire (MM) stifled Colorado Thunderbirds (MM)'s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) was unable to stop Belle Tire (MM) from sending pucks towards the net, and Belle Tire (MM) eventually piled up 36 shots on goal. Belle Tire (MM) outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, Belle Tire (MM) averages 3.8 goals per contest.

Belle Tire (MM) additionally got points from Dawson DiPietro, who also had two goals and two assists to lead the team in points, Steven Merl, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Cooper Leitch, who also registered one goal and one assist. Belle Tire (MM) also got a goal from Jared Domin as well. More assists for Belle Tire (MM) came via John Oconnor and LAYTHE JADALLAH, who each chipped in one and Thomas Luzynski, K.J. OBrien, and Joe Hall, who contributed two a piece.

Colorado Thunderbirds (MM)'s penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Belle Tire (MM) power plays.

Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) was led by Beau Dommer, who scored the team's only goal. Dommer scored 12:52 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Rider Stoglin picked up the assist.

Belle Tire (MM)'s Luke Frawley stopped 18 shots out of the 19 that he faced. Jared Young made 29 saves for Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) on 36 shots. Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) totaled 33 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-7 on the power play.
