Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Chicago Fury (MM) defeated Dallas Stars (MM) in a shootout 3-2 (1-0 SO). The shootout featured five attempts between both teams.Chicago Fury (MM) came back from a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. Chicago Fury (MM) trailed 2-1 after a goal by Dallas Stars (MM)'s Cody Wickline at 2:37 in the second period. Chicago Fury (MM) knotted things up at 2-2 on a power play goal by Jet Bell at 10:29 in the second period. Chicago Fury (MM) pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 22 penalty minutes. Chicago Fury (MM)'s penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Dallas Stars (MM) power plays. Dallas Stars (MM) was unable to stop Chicago Fury (MM) from sending pucks towards the net, and Chicago Fury (MM) eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. Chicago Fury (MM) also got a goal from Steven Quagliata as well. In addition, Chicago Fury (MM) received assists from RANDALL WOLF, Thomas Martyn, and Jason Kowalczyk, who contributed one a piece.
