Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) vanquishes Dallas Stars (MM) in shootout, 4-3 (1-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) defeated Dallas Stars (MM) in a shootout 4-3 (1-0 SO).

The two teams needed eight turns to complete the shootout.

Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) ended up below its season average of 13.0 penalty minutes per game. Dallas Stars (MM) was unable to stop Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) from sending pucks towards the net, and Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) eventually piled up 40 shots on goal.

Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) was led by Jake LeBauer, who grabbed three goals. Other players who recorded assists for Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) were John Greer, who had two and Blake Terry, Kyle Wojahn, Noah Boe, and Michael Yacullo, who contributed one a piece.
