Kimberly Brown had two goals and two assists to lead LEASIDE to a 5-1 victory over AURORA. Brown scored at 8:38 into the first period to make the score 1-0 LEASIDE and again while 12:05 into the first to make the score 2-0 LEASIDE.LEASIDE managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. LEASIDE ended up below its season average of 7.0 penalty minutes per game. LEASIDE surpassed its usual scoring output this season. LEASIDE averages 1.4 goal per game. LEASIDE also got a goal from Alyssa Connolly (A) Away as well. In addition, LEASIDE received assists from Sam Corkum, who had one and Sarah McGilvray (A) Home, who had five. LEASIDE's defense shut down AURORA's forwards for much of the game, and AURORA got off only 12 shots during the contest. LEASIDE's Karly Stratos stopped 11 shots out of the 12 that she faced. LEASIDE registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Taylor Lemmon made 24 saves for AURORA on 29 shots. AURORA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
