Kennedy Marchment (C) gave xDURHAM WEST the lead in the first period, and zNEPEAN was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 2-1.

A goal 9:57 into the the first period by Marchment (C) proved to be the game winner, and powered xDURHAM WEST to the victory Lisa Bruno assisted on the tally.

xDURHAM WEST was led by goalie Stephanie Sluys, who finished with 42 saves while allowing one goal. Sluys managed to improve on her goals against average, which stood at 1.63 prior to the game.

zNEPEAN's power play was ineffective against xDURHAM WEST's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

xDURHAM WEST excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in nine chances. xDURHAM WEST did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 14 shots on net to force 12 saves.

xDURHAM WEST was helped by Alyssa Gee, who finished with one goal. Gee scored 14:10 into the first period to make the score 2-0 xDURHAM WEST. Stephanie Ford picked up the assist. In addition, xDURHAM WEST received assists from Emily Jukosky and Becki Bowering, who contributed one a piece.

zNEPEAN did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. zNEPEAN puts an average of 3.5 pucks into the net per game. xDURHAM WEST was unable to stop zNEPEAN from sending pucks towards the net, and zNEPEAN eventually piled up 43 shots on goal.

zNEPEAN was led by Blake Orosz, who scored the team's only goal. Orosz scored 11:10 into the second period to make the score 2-1 xDURHAM WEST. Dallis Ferguson assisted on the tally.

xDURHAM WEST incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. zNEPEAN's Megan Halhed stopped 12 shots out of the 14 that she faced. zNEPEAN incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
